Lee A. Spancake
Lee A. Spancake, 81, of York, formerly of Altoona, ascended to our Lord the Father on Wednesday May 12, 2021. He is now joyfully reunited in heaven with his wife of 59 years, Bonnie, who had recently passed in 2019.
Lee was an antique automobile enthusiast. He was most proud of his 1941 Chevrolet Cabriolet Convertible, an AACA national award winner.
He retired from OSRAM-Sylvania, York, in 1999 after 40 years of combined service in the Altoona and York plants, where he held the title of marketing specialist.
Lee was a graduate of Central Pennsylvania Business School.
Surviving are his brother, Larry Spancake, and his wife, Jan Stuart, of Washington, D.C.; his adoring daughter, Jodie L. Sauers, of Bensalem; and his loving son, Dane A. Spancake, of York.
He was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in York, where he served as a Deacon and a member of the Facilities Management Committee.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Outdoor Worship Center of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 311 Haines Road, York, with his pastor, the Rev. Joshua D. Gill, officiating.
A viewing will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Please bring a lawn chair if attending the service.
