Clement Leo Freidhof
April 20, 1926 – March 1, 2021
Clement Leo Freidhof, 94, Duncansville, formerly of Altoona, passed away Monday at the Winds of Mattern Orchard. He was born in Cresson, son of the late Leo and Mae (Brawley) Freidhof.
Clement married Mary Ellen Ergler on April 3, 1948.
Surviving are his loving wife; daughters, Mary Susan (Freidhof) DeYulis of Philadelphia and Christine (Freidhof) Miller of Altoona; sons, Michael (Jennie) Freidhof of Tarentum and Alan (Christine) Freidhof of Altoona; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Coletta (Freidhof) Long and Arvilla (Freidhof) Bender.
Clement graduated from St. Francis Prep and Saint Francis College. He joined the U.S. Navy from 1942-44, during WWII. When he returned, Clement worked for Acme and Wissinger’s Markets as a meat cutter.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 0827.
Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, March 4, 2021, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, followed by a private family funeral service. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
