July 7, 1954 – Oct. 27, 2020
Elda Marshall, 66, formerly of Altoona, passed away after a valiant but unsuccessful fight with COVID-19 on Oct. 27, 2020, in her home state of Georgia. She was a loving wife to Ron Marshall for 37 years, loved her family and loved Jesus. Her faith and spirit will live on through her devoted family; however the void she leaves behind is devastating to those who loved her.
She was a graduate of Altoona Area High School in 1972 and retired from the Department of Virginia as a corrections officer after 17 years of service.
She is the daughter of Rodger Wyland and Lorraine (Gibboney) Wyland, who both welcomed her into heaven. She is survived by her husband, Ron, sons, Ryan Marshall and Michael Marshall, daughters, Dawn Farmer (Jeff) and Shannon Wilson (Ron). She leaves behind her siblings: sisters, Janet Miller and Regina Shultz, and brother, Herb Wyland (Loretta). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will also be greeted in heaven by her sister, Mary Urquiza, and a granddaughter.
Private family services were held in Georgia. Her memory will be kept alive and she will be missed dearly by all her family and friends who loved her.
