Edward L. Park, 97, Martinsburg, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon at Homewood at Martinsburg. He was born in Clearfield, son of the late Alexander and Emma (Henwood) Park. He married Myra Lucille Ross on April 13, 1946, in Lewistown and she died June 2, 2011.

He is survived by a daughter, Avis R. Schreier and husband, Gary J., of Martinsburg; four grandchildren: Garett E. Schreier and wife, Cindy, of Beckley, W.Va., Jonathan B. Schreier and wife, Denita, of

Barnett, Wis., Myra Ann Foutris and husband, Basileios, of Chicago, Ill., and Jenilynn Jensen and husband Kenneth of Corpus Christi, Texas; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joanne Greenland and husband, Elwood, of Duncansville.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Revenda L. Park, who died April 3, 2010; three brothers; and two sisters.

Edward was a graduate of Robertsdale High School. He also attended MIT and Harvard. He retired as a Federal Aviation Administrator with over 30 years of service and had previously worked for various airlines.

He was a United States Army Air Corp. veteran of World War II.

He enjoyed golfing, gardening, boating with his family and, following his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed their time in Sarasota, Fla.

He was a member of the Shrine in Sarasota, Fla., and the VFW.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc. A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family by Rev. Gerald McCuller. Interment with military honors will be made at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edward’s memory may be given to Homewood at Martinsburg — Benevolent Fund.
