Linda Louise (Miller) Kimmen
Dec. 15, 1948 - Sept. 5, 2020
Linda Louise Kimmen, 71, Bellwood, passed away in her home on Saturday, after a valiant battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Linda leaves behind her husband of 51 years, George Patrick Kimmen; and two beloved daughters, Angela (Kimmen) Hughes and Cheryl (Kimmen) Kimmel. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by five grandchildren: Jordan Bishop, Baylee Kimmel, Maizie Kimmel, Grace Kimmel and Everleigh Kimmel; as well as two great-grandchildren, Braxton Bishop and Scarlett DeAngelo; and a brother, Boyd Glenn Miller of Bellwood.
Linda was born and raised in Bellwood and graduated from Bellwood-Antis High School in 1966. She married the love of her life in 1969 and later raised her family in the very house she grew up in. She was a devoted secretary at Antis Township for over 20 years before following her daughters to retirement in Florida.
Linda will be remembered for her unfailing love for her family. The love she had for her husband of over 50 years was unconditional and true, and the two daughters they had together were her whole world. She loved her family and friends with her whole heart and went above and beyond to show it. She never said no, never judged and always had an ear to listen and an extra spot at the table. She was a “mom” to many, a “nana” to even more and was loved by all who crossed her path in life.
Linda had only two true loves in her life, her family and the beach, and she got her wish to be surrounded by both until she took her last breath. She will be deeply missed.
Friends will be received from noon until the 1 p.m. service to celebrate her life on Monday, Sept. 21, 2020, at Hillside Community Church in Bellwood. Pastor John Poe will be officiating. Inurnment will be at Blair Memorial Cemetery, Bellwood.
