Doris J. Dibert

June 11, 1930 – July 7, 2020

Doris J. Dibert, 90, a resident at The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of McKee, died Tuesday evening at the home.

She was born in Brooks Mills, daughter of the late James and Jeanette Brown. She married James W. Dibert on March 26, 1952; he died Nov. 7, 1997.

Surviving are six children: Wanda Leonard of Duncansville, twin sons, Jim Dibert of Altoona and Jan Dibert and wife, Patty, of Duncansville, Bev Dibert of Claysburg, Mike Dibert and wife, Lois, of East Freedom and Penny Dibert of Saxton; three grandchildren, who were raised in the home, Jeff Dibert and wife, Dawn, of Claysburg, Mike Dibert and wife, Brandi, of Woodbury, and Mandy Dibert of East Freedom; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger Dilling; three sisters; and one brother.

Doris retired from the Allegheny Lutheran Home Dietary Department in 1994, after 25 years of service.

She enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2020, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Bishop Steve Brumbaugh officiating. Inurnment will be made in Riverview Cemetery.
