Douglas ‘Doug’ Kauffman
May 1, 1974 – June 28, 2020
Douglas “Doug” Kauffman, 46, Shippensburg, passed away Sunday at his home, with his family by his side.
He was born in Altoona, son of Earl and Joan Sutton Kauffman.
In addition to his parents, Doug is survived by his wife, Heather Theimer Kauffman; seven children: Mariah Throckmorton in West Virginia, Kiana Throckmorton of Shippensburg, and Madalyn, Xavier, Joseph, Andrew and Leo Kauffman; a sister, Amy Stockslager and husband, Toby, of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Doug was a 1992 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He attended Penn State for three years. He worked at Target Distribution Center for 15 years.
Doug enjoyed reading and time with family and friends. He was a member of Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church in Shippensburg.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, where the Rev. Father Dwight Schlaline and Deacon Richard Ramsey will celebrate. Interment will follow the Mass in Corpus Christi Cemetery.
