Levi E. Walter

Levi E. Walter, 81, Roaring Spring, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at UPMC Altoona, following an apparent stroke.
He was the son of the late Albert and Bessie Walter. He was twice married; first to Regina M. Burk of Claysburg; and he then married Inez M. Amick, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are three children: Debby Edmundson of Hollidaysburg, Mary Housel of Altoona and Ray Walter of Claysburg; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four stepchildren: Cindy Amick of Martinsburg, Cathy Amick and husband, Neal Becker, and James Amick, all of Roaring Spring, and Joe Amick of Duncansville; and four stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Candy; three brothers; and two sisters.
Levi was a member of Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church, Duncansville. He retired from Champion Home Builders, Claysburg, and had previously been employed at E.H. and B. Lumberyard, East Freedom.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed throwing horseshoes, gardening and going to yard sales and auctions.
Levi had many friends and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Due to COVID-19 limitations, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family, Pastor Dave Huston officiating. Interment will be made in Claysburg Union Cemetery. Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Levi’s memory may be given to Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church, 1130 Foot of Ten Road, Duncansville, PA 16635.
