Sandy worked in the Air Force’s first word processing center, and where she started at the bottom as a distribution clerk and worked her way to the top position, chief operator of the center.
She moved to Connecticut with her husband, Dave, in 1983 and started her own desktop publishing company, “All Write,” in 1985 and retired in 2010. She returned to Altoona in 2001 to be a caretaker for her aging mother.
Sandy loved reading, her cats and was an avid follower of the musical group, Celtic Thunder.
She was a member of the Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family will hold a celebration of life memorial service in the future, when it is safe to have crowds larger than 10 people.
