Robert A. DiVentura Jr.

June 23, 1948 – Jan. 23, 2020

Robert A. DiVentura Jr., 71, Altoona, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Robert A. Sr. and Margaret M. (Mazzocco) DiVentura. He married Kathleen “Katie” Kiebort and she preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2017.

Surviving are three sons: Robert III (Jamie), Matthew and Chris (Brittany) DiVentura; three grandchildren: Dylanne, Noah and Nora; a sister, Jean D. Montgomery; four nieces and nephews: Christy (Dan) Snyder, Donnie, Tony (Sheena) and Michael Montgomery; and six great-nieces and nephews: Leah, Jenna, and Ashley Snyder and Bryson, Sienna and Mason Montgomery.

Robert was a 1966 Altoona High School graduate and later graduated from Robert Morris College. He served in the Air Force Reserves.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona.

Robert was co-owner, with his sister, of the Pleasant Valley Recreation Center and 4D’s Lounge. He was a huge Pitt fan, but his greatest joys were his grandkids and great-nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, at Santella Funeral Home, Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
