David C. Gorman

He was born in Roaring Spring, the son of the late Jerry and Harriet (Oakes) Gorman. He had previously been married to Marie (Miller), who preceded him in death.

He is survived by three children: David L. Gorman of Roaring Spring, Mary Lou Douglas and husband, Michael of Hollidaysburg and Wanda Smith and husband, Richard, of Martinsburg; four grandsons: Travis Rhodes and wife, Melissa, Jeremy Rhodes, Ryan Gorman and wife, Lizzy, and Shawn Shultz; and two great-grandsons: Aiden Rhodes and R.J. Gorman. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald “Sonny” Gorman and Donald Oakes; and a sister, Inez Walter.

David had previously been employed at New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and great-grandsons.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing and services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
