William L. ‘Bill’ Brown

William L. “Bill” Brown, 63, Jacks Corner Road, Hopewell, passed away Saturday.
He was born a son of the late William R. and Frances L. (Fix) Brown. On Aug. 17, 1974, he was united in marriage to Debra A. (Lasher) Brown, at Bedford Forge United Methodist Church.
Along with his wife, surviving are children: Travis L. Brown and wife, Annette (Churmblo), of Noblesville, Ind., and Karlee L. Brown of Chambersburg; grandchildren: Landon P. Brown, Abigaile A. Brown, Sebastian E. Brown and Molly K. Brown; a sister, Bonnie Perrin and husband, Sam, of Saxton; and a brother, Kenneth R. Brown and wife, Jody, of Hopewell.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy L. Brown; and a brother, Barry G. Brown.
Bill was a member of the Bedford Forge United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Northern Bedford County High School class of 1974. Mr. Brown was employed at New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed mowing his lawn. Bill loved his dogs and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Pastor Paul Snyder officiating. Burial will be held privately at Bedford Forge Cemetery.
