Ronald J. Lupinetti

Ronald J. Lupinetti, 82, Gallitzin, died Tuesday at UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Pasquale and Vincenza (Impullitti) Lupinetti. On July 27, 1967, he married the former Esther M. Baker, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Gallitzin.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years; his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Victor Regan; two grandsons: Alec and Anthony; sisters-in-law: Susanne and Maria Lupinetti, and Carole and Jerry Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa; brothers: Anthony, James and Richard; and a sister, Valia. He was the last member of his immediate family.

Ron was a 1956 graduate of Gallitzin High School and graduated from California State University. He also attended Penn State and St. Francis University. He obtained his master’s degree in special education and received a supervisor’s certificate from Indiana State University. Ron worked as a supervisor for IU8.

He was a member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin.

Ron enjoyed his 1960 Cadillac convertible, cooking and especially spending time with his grandsons.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant.

The family suggests donations be made to Gallitzin Fire Company or Cambria Alliance Ambulance Service.
