Robert L. Zeigler

Robert L. Zeigler, 75, Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday morning at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Ernest and Florence (Snyder) Zeigler. On March 22, 1969, he married Vicktora “Vicky” M. McIntosh in Detroit, Mich. She preceded him in death on Dec. 8, 1986.
Surviving are a son, Robert L. Jr. of Hollidaysburg; two daughters: Anne M. (David) Conner of Roaring Spring and Sandra L. (Richard) Coleman of New York; two stepdaughters: Sandra Rickabaugh of Altoona and Carmen Rugamer of Germany; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Georgianne) Zeigler of Allentown; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former spouse and caretaker, with whom he resided, Anna Zeigler.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Ernest, David, and Richard; and a sister, Sarah.
Robert attended Hollidaysburg High School and retired from Tel-Power as a foreman in 2007.
He attended the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren and was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society, IBEW No. 13, and the Swiss Club.
Robert enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting and fishing.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, with Pastor Connie Maclay, officiating.
Interment will be at New Canoe Creek Cemetery.
