Jean R. Focht
Jean R. Focht, 97, was taken to her eternal home in Heaven on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, where she has met her God and savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, face to face. On this date, she also joined her beloved husband of 71 years of marriage, Dean R. Focht Sr., who preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2012. They were united in marriage on July 3, 1941; reunited in glory for eternity. Also preceding her in death was her eldest son: Dean R. Focht Jr. on June 24, 2019; and infant granddaughter, Tammy Jean Focht. Four little great-grandchildren who have gone before, unmet, are now holding Grandma’s hand.
Sunday afternoons and holidays were spent around the family table, followed by Grandma at the piano, surrounded by her devoted family. She was a constant keeper of the home and a cherished helpmate. Every Sunday and Wednesday, she would faithfully be found in the Lord’s House with her husband and family. Her home was a peaceful sanctuary where her children and grandchildren would always find loving arms.
Jean will be remembered by: Cheryl Focht, wife of the late Dean R. Focht Jr., and their three children: Dr. Dean R. Focht III (Julie), Wendy Focht (Howie), and Michael Focht (Mandy). Great-grandchildren are Allie, Taylor, Colsen, Carsten and Kendyl. She is also remembered by her daughter: Eileen Snare (Darrell) and their two children: Kent Snare (Melody) and Julie Hite (Jeffrey). Great-grandchildren are Maddie, Ben, Gabe, Jeremiah, Abigail, Luke and Jael. Lastly, she is remembered by her son Lonnie Focht (Lee Ann) and their three children: Jeremy Focht, Jennifer Parks (Jason) and Jessica Focht. Great-grandchildren are Isaiah, Noah and Ryan.
Her family would like to extend special thanks to her Homewood family for their loving support, friendship and care.
Friends and family will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019 and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at Dry Run Independent Baptist Church, 633 Valley Forge Road, Duncanville, Pa. where the funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Arrangements are by the Richard H.
