Harry T. Irwin

Harry T. Irwin, 91, Antis Township, died unexpectedly Saturday evening at his home.

He was born in Antis Township, son of the late Fred F. and Easty (Miller) Irwin.

On Nov. 21, 1950, he married Mary Ann Nachtman in Cumberland, Md., and she preceded him in death on March 24, 2019.

He is survived by his son, Harry L. (Tina) of Antis Township; and a granddaughter, Stacy (Josh) Decker of North Huntington. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Keith.

Harry was a 1946 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and he served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired as a plant superintendent at New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. Inc.

Harry was a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society, Altoona, and a member of Unter Uns, Swiss Rifle Club and Newburg Fire Company. He was also a member of the UVHA, Bellwood, where he served as a trustee.

Harry and his wife enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos. They visited 48 states and all of the national parks. He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and also loved doing lawn care at his home.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching football on television.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or service. Arrangements are by Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood.
