Molly J. Hoover

Nov. 14, 1956 – July 4, 2019

Molly J. Hoover, 62, Altoona, passed away Thursday surrounded by her family.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Roger L. Sr. and Lillian J. (Downing) Hoover.

Surviving are two brothers: Mark (Mary) Hoover of Golden, Colo., and Roger (Cathy) Hoover of Tyrone; five sisters: Priscilla Davidson of Ramey, Jennifer Hileman of Altoona, Elizabeth (Dan) Morris of Myerstown, and Laura (Jim) Clancy and Maria (Rick) Zupon of Altoona; 21 nieces and nephews: Kristina, Kerri, Kati, Kylie, Jacob, Lillian, Elizabeth, Eric, Tim, Matt, Justin, Daniel, Michael, Laura, Jimmy, Sarah, Emily, Nathan, Rick, Ryan and Josh.

Molly was a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and a volunteer at various local nursing facilities.

Molly loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed watching sports, especially the New England Patriots.

There will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona, Father Ronald Osinski celebrant. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.

The family requests to please omit flowers and send contributions in Molly’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
