James C. Beach

He was born in Henrietta, son of the late Harry B. and Clara A. (Haffley) Beach. On May 8, 1948, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Kensinger in York, and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2012.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Beach; a daughter, Sandra; a brother, Robert Beach; and two sisters: Phyllis Roberts and V. Madge Over.

James was a graduate of Woodbury High School and served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy from May 17, 1945, to Aug. 2, 1946. He was employed by New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. Inc. for many years.

He was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and traveling.

At the request of the deceased, a memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Weaver Funeral Home LLC, Woodbury.
