Carol Marie White-Fowler

May 18, 1936 - May 12, 2019

Carol Marie White-Fowler, 82, Altoona, died peacefully Sunday morning at her residence, surrounded by her children.

She was born in Coupon, daughter of the late Florence Conrad.

Surviving are her three children: Kathleen Marie (John) O’Shea, Thomas Michael White and Amy Cherisse White; two grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth and Maura Carol; a sister, Patricia Ann Phillips; a niece, Kelly Ann Phillips; and an extended family of friends and relatives. Her caregivers, specifically Missy and Jolene from Home Health Agency Palliative Care, were always there to help.

Carol was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a well-recognized and accomplished Tupperware saleswoman, having founded her sales group “The Caroliers” from 1972-99. She was also owner and proprietor of the Stonehouse Inn in McKee. In addition, Carol was also a drug and alcohol counselor and worked at various group homes. She enjoyed her work, and took pride in her family. She was also a lover of animals, domestic and wild.

She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

A private family burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Coupon. Arrange­­ments are by Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Duncansville.
