James A. Holliday

James A. Holliday, 24, Altoona, passed away Thurs­day at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pitts­burgh, after a motorcycle accident.

He was born in Altoona, son of Edward C. and Ronna (Rosenthall) Holliday.

Surviving are his parents; a sister, Dana Holliday and fiance, Nathan Phillips, of Altoona; a niece, Mackenzie E. Phillips; a nephew, Seth Phillips; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Greene; his maternal grandmother, Audrey Rosenthall; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Rosenthall; an uncle, Harry Rosenthall; and a pa­ter­nal great-uncle, Ambrose Loomis.

Jim was a 2012 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 2015 graduate of Pitts­burgh Technical Institute in HVAC Technologies. He was employed as an HVAC technician for Shultz Plumbing and Heating.

He was member of Temple Beth Israel, Altoona. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles and off-roading.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, and from 9 until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at Temple Beth Israel, 3004 Union Ave., Altoona, Rabbi Audrey Korotkin officiating. Interment will be at Mount Sinai Cemetery, Altoona. Arrangements are by E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona.
