Harry E. Shumaker Sr.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Edward C. and Hazel (Bower) Shumaker. On Nov. 9, 1962, he married Sandy K. Mills.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Harry E. Shumaker Jr. of Altoona; a daughter, Tina Louise Mekkes (Daniel) of Whiteland, Ind.; six grandchildren: Brittany, Keith, Jordan, Brooke, McKinley (Jacob) and Dannielle; two brothers: Clifford and Harland; and a sister, Barbara.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: George and Bobby; and three sisters: Sarah, Florence and Nancy.

Harry retired as a laborer for Bennetti Tree Service and maintenance at Hills Department Store.

Harry enjoyed working on cars. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public funeral services. Arrangements are by E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona.
