Michael B. Imler

March 10, 1943 - March 12, 2017

Michael B. Imler, 74, Sproul, died Sunday afternoon at his residence after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Martin and Romaine (Holsinger) Imler. On Nov. 11, 1989, he married Kay Smith-Brumbaugh.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Vicky Long (Brian) of Hollidaysburg; a son, Raymond Imler of Roaring Spring; two stepsons: Tim Brumbaugh (Cindy) of Bradenton, Fla., and Bill Brumbaugh (Julie) of Sproul; two stepdaughters: Lori Smith (Dwight) of Martinsburg and Lynette Talbert (Ron) of Roaring Spring; four grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Barry Imler (Mary) of Roaring Spring; a sister, Betty Mountain (Denny) of Roaring Spring; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, Justin Mountain.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandson; and two brothers: Kenneth and William.

Michael had been employed at Cannondale for 22 years. He enjoyed NASCAR, camping and hunting.

At the request of the deceased, a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family, Pastor Mark Lingenfelter officiating. A public time of fellowship in Mike’s memory will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Shawnee Park, Roaring Spring. Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
