Aldine A. Shaw

March 28, 1927 – Feb. 4, 2017

Aldine A. Shaw, 89, formerly of Roaring Spring, died Saturday afternoon at Homewood at Martinsburg.

She was born in Duncansville, daughter of the late Clyde C. and Eva (Claybaugh) Evans. She married George F. Shaw on April 29, 1947, in Duncansville.

Surviving are her husband of Martinsburg; a son, Lane G. Shaw and wife, Kathy, of Alpharetta, Ga.; a grandson, Trevor L. Shaw and wife, Jennifer, of Woodstock, Ga.; two great-grandchildren: Mattie and Lauryn; a stepgranddaughter, Carrie Ann Sienkiewicz and husband, Scott, of Dawsonville, Ga.; a stepgreat-grandson, Jack; and a sister, Jeanine Stayer and husband, Robert, of Pittsburgh.

Aldine was a 1945 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and was a member of Christ Church, Roaring Spring.

She gave piano and organ lessons and played the organ in several churches in the area for many years. She enjoyed working with flowers and cooking.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing, but friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, in Christ Church, Roaring Spring, the Rev. Joel Kletzing officiating. Interment will be made at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, in Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Aldine’s memory may be given to Christ Church, 7758 Woodbury Pike, Roaring Spring, PA 16673.
