The following sentencings were filed in Blair County Court. Although some cases may be more than a year old, the Mirror publishes them in the interest of complete reporting.

The following defendant was placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a period of 60 days to 60 months. They will pay costs of the program and complete 25-30 hours of community service.

Benjamin A. Otto, 44, no fixed address, charged by Altoona police with fleeing, DUI, flight to avoid apprehension, possession of drug paraphernalia and six summary traffic violations.

The following defendants pleaded guilty to charges listed and were sentenced as shown:

James G. Au, 39, 606 Rosslyn Road, Boalsburg, sentenced Aug. 3, 2018, to a $100 fine for possession of drug paraphernalia, filed by Blair Township police on May 8, 2018.

Alexander T. Bowman, 20, 216 Maple Ave., Altoona, sentenced Aug. 10, 2018, to a $150 fine for possession of drug paraphernalia filed by Duncansville Borough police on May 9, 2018.

Shaina M. Mauk, 28, 167 Locust St., Claysburg, sentenced March 22 to six to 23.5 months in jail and five years’ probation for burglary, criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking filed by Greenfield Township police on June 13, 2018.

Byron D. Sullins, 30, 2065 Columbia Ave., Tyrone, sentenced on July 27, 2018, to a $100 fine and two years’ probation for simple assault filed by Tyrone police on May 31, 2018.
