Sentencings

The following sentencings were filed in Blair County Court. Although some cases may be more than a year old, the Mirror publishes them in the interest of complete reporting.

The following defendants pleaded guilty to charges listed and were sentenced as shown:

Jeffery D. Pfahler, 20, 800 Second Ave., Altoona, sentenced Oct. 11, 2019, to a $300 fine and time served to 23.5 months in jail; a $100 fine and 18 months in jail for simple assault; a $200 fine for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; and a $300 fine and one month’s probation for possession of a small amount of marijuana filed by Altoona police on Jan. 5, 2019.

Devin C. Morris, 20, 1308 Third Ave., Apt. 200, Duncansville, sentenced on Oct. 18, 2019, to a $250 fine, one month to 23.5 months in jail and one year’s probation for burglary; and a $100 fine and one year’s probation for theft by unlawful taking filed by Altoona police on May 15, 2018.

Jerome W. Mohring, 53, 512 12th St., Apt. 3, Altoona, sentenced on Sept. 24, 2018, to a $100 fine and six months’ probation for simple assault, filed by Altoona police on May 8, 2018.

Victoria G. Meckley, 20, 230 Fifth Ave., Apt. 307, Altoona, sentenced on Oct. 19, 2018, to a $100 fine and six months’ probably for defiant trespass, filed by Altoona police on June 19, 2018.

Dillon R. Snyder, 33, 931 First Ave., Altoona, sentenced on Oct. 12, 2018, to a $100 fine and six to 23.5 months in jail for fraud, altered or counterfeit title or plates; a $100 fine and six to 23.5 months in jail for possession or use of display documents; a $100 fine and six to 23.5 months in jail for possessing an instrument of crime; a $100 fine and six to 23.5 months in jail for resisting arrest; a $100 fine and six to 23.5 months in jail for flight to avoid apprehension; a $100 fine for possession of a controlled substance; a $1,500 fine and six to 23.5 months in jail for DUI; and a $1,000 fine and 90 days in jail for DUI while license is suspended, filed by Altoona police on June 25, 2018.

Michael D. Reed Jr., 38, 414 23rd Ave., Altoona, sentenced on Oct. 22, 2018, to a $100 fine and one year’s probation for criminal trespass, filed by Altoona police on July 3.

Megan J. Stotler, 29, 1517 10th St., Altoona, sentenced on Aug. 17, 2018, to a $100 fine and one to 23.5 months in jail for endangering the welfare of a child; and a $100 fine and two years’ probation for simple assault, filed by Altoona police on July 5, 2018.

Hope M. Derry, 28, 3809 Brice St., West Mifflin, sentenced on Aug. 31, 2018, to a $100 fine and 12 months’ probation for three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; and a $500 fine and 12 months’ probation for criminal mischief, filed by state police on July 4, 2018.

The following defendant pleaded no contest to charges listed and was sentenced as shown:

Katrina N. Leonard, 45, 27 N. Tremont St., second floor, York, sentenced Oct. 1, 2019, to a $200 fine and six to 13 months, eight days in jail and five years’ probation for criminal conspiracy; and five years’ probation for corrupt organizations filed by Altoona police on Nov. 1, 2015.
