Sentencings

The following sentencings were filed in Blair County Court. Although some cases may be more than a year old, the Mirror publishes them in the interest of complete reporting.

The following defendants pleaded guilty to charges listed and were sentenced as shown:

Teia K. Massaro, 20, 4909 Highland Ave., Altoona, sentenced Sept. 7, 2018, to a $100 fine and 60 months’ probation for false alarm to agency of public safety, filed by Altoona police Oct. 29, 2017; and a $100 fine and 60 months’ probation for theft by unlawful taking, filed by Altoona police Oct. 26, 2017.

Russell L. Sipes Jr., 39, 480 Greendown Acres, Duncans­ville, sentenced Sept. 20, 2018, to a $219.95 fine and three months’ probation for retail theft; and a $100 fine and three months’ probation for conspiracy, filed by Freedom Township police Oct. 29, 2017.

Michael J. Salem, 37, 121 Skyline Court, East Freedom, sentenced Aug. 10, 2018, to a $250 fine and three years’ probation for theft by deception, filed by Freedom Township police June 19, 2017.

Shawn M. Spallone, 36, 693 Cedar Lane, Building 7, Apt. 1, Tyrone, sentenced Sept. 28, 2018, to a $50 fine for harassment, filed by Hollidaysburg state police Nov. 26, 2017.

Gene E. Muscatello, 33, 1400 Paint St., Windber, sentenced Oct. 22, 2018, to five years’ probation for retail theft, filed by Freedom Township police Nov. 27, 2017.

Tara N. Dennis, 29, 610 N. Third St., Altoona, sentenced June 25, 2017, to 72 hours to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine for driving under the influence, filed by Hollidaysburg state police Nov. 4, 2017.

Dylan R. Miller, 27, 14205 S. Eagle Valley Road, Tyrone, sentenced Oct. 15, 2018, to six to 23.5 months in jail and a $500 fine for burglary, filed by Hollidaysburg state police Nov. 28, 2017.
