Altoona man held on child sex abuse charges, accused of distributing underage nude pictures of victim
Mozley accused of distributing underage nude pictures of victim
A city man was taken into custody after his fiancee allegedly discovered that he had been distributing underage nude images of her on a pornographic website and impersonating her in chatrooms.
Jordan Kammeron Mozley, 21, was arraigned Dec. 5 by Magisterial District Judge Benjamin F. Jones on nine felony counts of child sexual abuse material, six felony counts of dissemination of child sexual abuse materials and single felony counts of corruption of minors and criminal use of a communication facility. He also faces two misdemeanor counts of unlawful dissemination of an intimate image – visual and a misdemeanor count of unlawful dissemination of an intimate image – artificial.
Mozley was remanded to the Blair County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Altoona police responded to an apartment along the 1200 block of South 27th Street on Dec. 4 to speak with an 18-year-old woman, who called Blair 911 to report her fiance, Mozley, for distributing underage nude images of her on a pornographic website without her knowledge, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
The victim told officers Mozley was sleeping inside the apartment and she was using his cellphone like she had in the past. While using the phone, she saw a strange email that led to a linked account on a pornographic website. The victim said she discovered the account Mozley was signed into was impersonating her with pornographic nude images and erotic content, the police report states.
The victim found several nude images of herself as a minor uploaded to the website for potential viewers to see, save and share, as well as chatroom notifications. The victim explained that several of the images she knew with complete certainty were only given to Mozley due to their relationship spanning over five years, the report stated.
Officers seized Mozley’s cellphone before taking him into custody. Mozley is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday in front of Jones.
