City man gets probation for telling social media followers to rob victim

HOLLIDAYSBURG — The city man arrested after doxxing two individuals on Facebook and encouraging others to rob them pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless endangerment in exchange for two years’ probation in Blair County Court on Friday afternoon.

Randolph Delozier, 63, originally faced felony counts of criminal solicitation of burglary, criminal solicitation of robbery and criminal solicitation of theft, as well as two misdemeanor counts each of recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

He pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor count of recklessly endangering another person.

When asked by presiding President Judge Wade A. Kagarise if this was the deal agreed to, Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Thomas said yes, and noted that the agreement was crafted by Assistant District Attorney Derek Elensky. He said the plea to a single count would encompass both of the case’s victims.

Defense attorney Mason Rogers said Delozier accepted responsibility for his actions and that the incident occurred during a disagreement.

Kagarise then sentenced Delozier to two years’ probation, pay the cost of prosecution, a $200 fine, have no contact with the case’s victims and must undergo anger management. All other charges in the case were dismissed.

The case was brought against Delozier after two individuals contacted Altoona police to report that he had set them up to be robbed.

Police reported Delozier making a Facebook post on his BCFP Reality News page, tagging the victim’s personal Facebook page and writing that the victim was “not very smart … he will not put his money in a safety deposit box” and that the victim carried about $20,000 on his person.

Delozier told his followers “with all the crime going on, someone would love $20,000,” and “let’s play a game … who wants it bad enough?” Delozier then listed the victim’s full address, along with a recent photo of his residence, the police report stated.
