Former B-A coach Andrekovich found guilty

Andrekovich

A Blair County jury found a former Bellwood-Antis School District head wrestling coach guilty Tuesday of child endangerment after being accused of not properly enacting a plan to keep a fellow coach out of contact with students.

Timothy D. Andrekovich, 60, was facing one count of endangering the welfare of a child in connection to middle school wrestling coach Ryan Blazier’s sexual assault of student wrestlers. A safety plan was constructed by the school district in December 2019 to prevent Blazier from being alone with children while he was facing child abuse allegations.

Andrekovich was accused of being the “point person” for the safety plan, but failing to carry it out.

Blazier, currently serving 21 to 42 years’ incarceration, was convicted in October 2021 of seven sexual assault offenses.
