The Altoona Area High School Student Council will host the Golden Years Gala, formerly known as the Senior Citizens Dance, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the Altoona Area High School Fieldhouse. This event will feature music, dancing and complimentary refreshments.

There is no charge for admission. Those attending should dress for a nice evening out.

The AAHS jazz bands will provide music for the evening of celebration and camaraderie.

“The students are excited to host the Golden Years Gala,” said Paula Foreman, community relations director. “This event is our students’ way of expressing gratitude to the seniors in our community while fostering connections across generations.”
