Commissioners table vote on prison land

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Blair County commissioners tabled voting Thursday on the decision to move forward with eminent domain proceedings to acquire land for building a new prison.
Commissioners Dave Kessling recommended putting the vote on next week’s agenda so there would be time to digest comments and criticism to the proposed site.
About 60 people attended Thursday’s meeting with the majority raising their hands when asked if they were opposed to the site.
