Two held in alleged home break-in

Hannah, McConnell facing felony trespass

Two Blair County men were taken into custody after allegedly breaking into a home in the process of being renovated.

Timothy Justin Hannah Jr., 32, and Ralph Allen McConnell, 24, were both arraigned on Dec. 24 by Magisterial District Judge Matthew Dunio on a single felony count of criminal trespass. They were unable to post bail of $50,000 each and were remanded to the Blair County Prison.

Logan Township police were dispatched to a residence along the 1200 block of 15th Avenue about 2:46 p.m. Dec. 24 for a report of a possible burglary in progress, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

Upon arrival, officers looked through one of the home’s front windows and saw the interior was being renovated. Walking to the back of the house, they saw two males, later identified as Hannah and McConnell in the home’s kitchen area, court documents state.

When Hannah and McConnell exited through the home’s back door, they were detained until the homeowner arrived.

The homeowner told officers he didn’t know the pair and said they didn’t have permission to be inside his house.

Officers then spoke to the caller, who said he saw Hannah and McConnell entering the residence through the front door and immediately called the homeowner, police records show.

Hannah and McConnell are scheduled for preliminary hearings on Jan. 8.

Starting at $2.99/week.
