Reps sought for Head Start policy council

Community Action Partnership of Cambria County’s Early Childhood Programs are looking for community representatives to serve on the Head Start/Early Head Start Policy Council.

The Policy Council is the governing body for the Cambria County Head Start and Early Head Start programs. The council consists of parents of Head Start and Early Head Start enrolled children and community residents.

Policy Council parents decide upon meeting dates and times, but currently meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month virtually via Zoom or at a central location in the county.

Anyone interested in helping the county meet the needs of low-income children and their families, participating in program development and bringing about a greater degree of social competence in the children, send your name, address, phone number and a brief description about yourself, including involvement with other similar organizations, by Friday, Sept. 9, to: CAPCC Early Childhood Programs, Attention: Jeannette Bracken, 516 Main St., Johnstown, PA 15901 or FAX the information to 814-539-4943.
