Man arrested while driving stolen vehicle
A Somerset county man was arrested after he was found along the side of the road in a stolen vehicle, which broke down, court documents stated.
Gregory C. Robosson, 59, was arraigned Friday by Bedford County Magisterial District Judge Kevin R. Diehl on felony charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after being detained by police Friday in Hyndman.
According to a complaint, Robosson stole a family member’s vehicle from the 100 block of Fifth Avenue, Hyndman, and drove away. The vehicle broke down in Somerset County.
The victim told police that Robosson stole her 2013 Cadillac CTS sedan, taking her keys while she was sleeping.
State police at Bedford reported the vehicle as stolen, and almost simultaneously, troopers said Robosson was discovered in the broken down vehicle on Poorbaugh Road, Somerset, and taken into custody by state police at Somerset.
Robosson was confined to Bedford County Correctional Facility in lieu of $30,000 cash bail with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 26 before Diehl.
