Martin Oil helps fire companies

Martin Oil Co. and Martin General Stores concluded their Helping Hometown Heroes campaign and raised $69,427 for 23 local fire companies in a seven-county area.

The company began this fundraiser after understanding that fire stations were unable to continue their normal fundraisers through the COVID-19 shutdown. Understanding how crucial this fundraising is to their day-to-day operations, the Helping Hometown Heroes fundraiser was organized.

This summer, Martin General Stores raised funds by selling $1 donation cards, collecting loose change, selling basket chances and donating a portion of deli sales. All money raised at each store stayed in the community to directly help local fire station. Each of the six Martin Oil offices also participated. In addition, Martin Oil’s vendor partner, DeLeo Games, generously contributed to this fundraiser.
