Tyrone man faces assault charges

A Tyrone man faces assault charges after allegedly abusing of a woman over the past week, court documents stated,

Nathaniel Allen Green, 21, was arraigned Friday by Magisterial District Judge Fred B. Miller on charges of simple assault and harassment, the criminal complaint stated.

Police accuse Green of allegedly assaulting a woman for the past week, with the victim stating Green grabbed her, kicked her and bit her arm.

According to the criminal complaint, Green allegedly also punched the woman and hit her with a baby bottle.

Police said they discovered recent bruising on the victim’s arms and legs.

The victim also told police that Green allegedly punched her in the face, but officers did not find any redness or visible bruising, the complaint stated.

Green was unable to post cash bail of $15,000 and is currently detained at Blair County Prison.

He is to appear before Miller on Aug. 10 for a preliminary hearing.
