Detour planned for Sinking Run Bridge
HOLLIDAYSBURG — PennDOT has announced a detour for bridge replacement work will begin on Clay Avenue Sinking Run Bridge Replacement project in Snyder Township, Blair County.
The contractor, Wen-Brooke Contracting Inc. of Three Springs, will place the detour on Route 4029 — Clay Avenue — beginning Tuesday, June 22. The 3.1-mile detour will follow Clay Avenue, Third Street, Washington Avenue (Route 4027) to Route 453. The detour will be signed and will be in place until mid-August.
Work on the project includes placement of an existing bridge with a precast box culvert, drainage upgrades, resurfacing, signage, sidewalks, curbing, tree trimming and tree removal. The $921,156 project is expected to be completed by late August 2021.
