City police seize drugs, $23,000

Hill

While executing a search warrant Monday, Altoona police discovered a significant amount of methamphetamine, fentanyl and $23,000 cash, court documents stated.

As a result of discovery, police charged a Philadelphia man, Malik Hill, age unknown, with multiple felonies, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Hill was arraigned Thursday by Magisterial District Judge Matthew Dunio and is currently jailed at the Blair County Prison with his cash bail set at $250,000, according to court documents.

During a sealed document search in an Altoona residence on Monday, police spotted various drug-related items, which led them to seek a search warrant for drugs, police reported.

The second search revealed a large amount of cash, 3 ounces of meth and 11 grams of fentanyl, court documents stated.

An informant told police Hill was supplying drug dealers in Altoona with fentanyl and meth, which Hill allegedly sold by the pound, a criminal complaint stated.

Hill, also known as “L,” allegedly sold pounds of meth for $10,500 each and fentanyl at about $100 a gram to at least two individuals in Blair County, police said.

Police worked with an informant Monday to set up another significant purchase of bulk drugs from Hill, according to court documents.

No other details about Hill’s arrest or charges were available Thursday night.
