Sentencings

The following sentencings were filed in Blair County Court. Although some cases may be more than a year old, the Mirror publishes them in the interest of complete reporting.

The following defendants were placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a period of 60 days to 60 months, and will pay costs of the program and complete 25-30 hours of community service:

Raven N. Burron, 25, 1126 Fairway Township Lane, Hollidaysburg, charged with DUI – highest rate, second offense, filed by Altoona police Nov. 9, 2017.

Marvin S. Williams Jr., 32, 1252 Logan Ave., Tyrone, charged with DUI and two traffic violations, filed by Tyrone police Dec. 8, 2017.

The following defendants pleaded guilty to charges listed and were sentenced as shown:

Christopher R. Keller, 32, 216 Harvest Drive, Portage, was sentenced July 20, 2018, to 90 days to 12 months in jail and $1,500 fine for DUI and a traffic violation, filed by Allegheny Township police Nov. 19, 2017.

Shawn M. Bradley, 27, 805 Second Ave., sentenced Sept. 10, 2018, to three to six years in jail and $500 fine for aggravated assault; and $200 fine and three years’ probation for making repairs to or selling an offensive weapon, filed by Altoona police Nov. 6, 2017.

Robert L. Schaefer, 50, 301 Plum St., Williamsburg, sentenced March 13, 2018, to $300 fine and six months’ probation for DUI, filed by state police Oct. 23, 2017.

Kim M. Baker, 54, 112 Allegheny St., Hollidaysburg, sentenced Oct. 12, 2018, to 52 days in jail for DUI, filed by Hollidaysburg police Dec. 7, 2017.

Dennis R. Knarr, 32, 329 N. 16th Ave., sentenced Oct. 22, 2018, to two to 15 years in jail and $50 fine for conspiracy; one to two years in jail and $50 fine for possession with intent to deliver; six to 12 months in jail and $50 fine for criminal use of a communication facility; one to two years in jail and $50 fine for conspiracy; one to two years in jail and $50 fine for possession with intent to deliver; one to two years in jail and $50 fine for criminal use of a communication facility; one to two years in jail and $50 fine for possession with intent to deliver; one to two years in jail and $50 fine for possession with intent to deliver; one to two years in jail and $50 fine for criminal use of a communication facility; a $100 fine for possession of a controlled substance; a $50 fine for possession of drug paraphernalia; a $75 fine for a traffic violation; and a $25 fine for a traffic violation, filed by Altoona police Nov. 9, 2017.

Russell D. Grager Jr., 27, 1526 Fifth St., sentenced March 2, 2018, to 45 days to 23.5 months in jail and $500 fine for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, filed by Altoona police July 18, 2017.

Courtney L. Babcock, 40, 603 N. Second St., Apt. B, Bellwood, sentenced Sept. 17, 2018, to nine to 30 months in jail and $250 fine for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; nine to 30 months in jail and $200 fine for criminal use of a communication facility; and six to 30 months in jail and $250 fine for hindering apprehension, filed by Altoona police June 19, 2018.

David J. Stepp, 45, 1012 Fourth Ave., sentenced Sept. 21, 2018, to 21 to 42 months in jail and $200 fine for conspiracy; a $200 fine and seven years’ probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; and 12 to 24 months in jail and $200 fine for criminal use of a communication facility, filed by Altoona police June 9, 2016.

Shaina M. Mauk, 29, 167 Locust St., Claysburg, sentenced June 18, 2018, to a $100 fine and six months’ probation for possession of drug paraphernalia, filed by Greenfield Township police Dec. 4, 2017.

Taylor D. Geis, 21, 809¢ Ninth St., sentenced Sept. 28, 2018, to a $100 fine and six months’ probation for retail theft; a $100 fine and six months’ probation for retail theft; a $100 fine and six months’ probation for retail theft; a $100 fine and six months’ probation for retail theft; and a $100 fine and six months’ probation for conspiracy, filed by Logan Township police on Jan. 10, 2018.
