Police probe theft

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a residential burglary in Frankstown Township, which included the theft of numerous power tools, technological devices and a black safe, police reported.

Sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. Wednesday, someone cut the lock at a residence on Three Lakes Road and entered the home, according to a news release.

While inside, the perpetrator stole several chainsaws, welding machines, power tools, impact tools, hand tools and jewelry as well as a black safe containing documents and Apple iPads, police reported.

The missing items are valued at about $8,500 and the damaged lock was valued at about $10, according to the news release.
