Dickens of a Christmas set
EBENSBURG — Dickens of a Christmas weekend will be held with modifications Dec. 4-5, according to the Ebensburg Main Street Partnership.
Planning is underway for Light-Up Night on Friday evening and a Roving Christmas Parade on Saturday morning, but many of the annual events will not take place this year because of safety measures and social distancing efforts to stop the spread
Unchanged will be the borough’s decorations throughout downtown and businesses will join in with festive displays as the Main Street Partnership hosts its annual decorating contest.
The weekend schedule starts at 6 p.m. Dec. 4 with Light-Up Night at Veterans Memorial Park, and indoor ice skating at 8:45 p.m. at the North Central Recreation Center at 186 Schoolhouse Road, Ebensburg.
From 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, visit Santa’s Breakfast Express Drive-Thru at the Young Peoples Community Center, 300 Prave St., and then enjoy the 11 a.m. Roving Christmas Parade.
Other events include a noontime live Nativity at Ebensburg United Methodist Church, 100 E. Highland Ave., and an online trivia contest at 8 p.m., hosted by Cresson Lake Playhouse.
