Spud Stroll set for Saturday
EBENSBURG — A “Spud Stroll” is set for Saturday as many Ebensburg businesses celebrate the potato by hosting sales, specials and events.
“This is definitely not going to be the PotatoFest that people have come to expect,” said Danea Koss, director of Community Development. “There will not be arts and crafts and food vendors lining the streets. This is a strolling event where people are encouraged to walk Ebensburg and visit all of the different spots that are hosting their own events through the day.”
Highlights of outdoor activities include Oktoberfest at Coal Country Brewing, a Storybook Potato Patch for kids at the Ebensburg Library, ax throwing with Steel City Axe at the Country Garden 6-Pack, two concerts in the park, an all-day farmer’s market, crafts at Lake Rowena and more. A schedule is also posted on the Facebook event page, Ebensburg Spud Stroll.
