Williamsburg get $77,000 grant

HARRISBURG – The Williamsburg Municipal Authority in Blair County has been awarded a $77,051 grant to replace water meters, according to Rep. Jim Gregory, R-Hollidaysburg.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority approved Small Water and Sewer Program grants Monday.

“Williamsburg Municipal Authority will use this grant to support its project replacing more than 600 failing water meters in its system. This replacement is needed due to battery problems with the existing ones,” Gregory said.

The water system owned by Williamsburg Municipal Authority serves Williamsburg and portions of Woodbury and Catherine townships.
