Woman faces child sex abuse, porn charges

Dietz

HOLLIDAYSBURG — A Hollidaysburg woman is in jail on charges related to the sexual abuse and exploitation of a teenage girl.

Wendy A. Dietz, 45, was arrested Monday after police said she performed multiple sex acts on and took nude photos of the girl.

According to charges filed by Hollidaysburg police, on Oct. 11 police received a Childline report of a juvenile victim allegedly being sexually abused by Dietz.

On Oct. 24, the victim was interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center. Police said the victim told them that she had been sexually abused in Dietz’s apartment on Spring Street in Hollidaysburg when she was 15 years old. The victim, now 17, allegedly told police that the sexual abuse happened roughly 10 times last summer.

The victim told police that Dietz used sex toys on her.

The victim told police that she and Dietz “practiced” sex together by stripping naked and “playing” with each other on Dietz’s bed and that Dietz would spank her with a whip. When the victim told Dietz that the whipping hurt, Dietz allegedly replied, “Oh come on, don’t you like that?”

Police also described other instances where Dietz allegedly abused the girl.

Police said the victim told them that Dietz also would take videos of the victim “playing with herself” as well as videos of Dietz and the victim engaged in sex acts and post them on Skype. The victim said Dietz would often livestream the sexual abuse to Dietz’s boyfriend, who lives in Tennessee.

A forensic exam of Dietz’s cellphone found one image of a prepubescent female naked and showing her genitals. Police also found an image of the alleged victim lying on a bed exposed.

Police also found several chats that Dietz allegedly was having with people on the online application Google Hangouts. Police said one of the conversations was between Dietz and a man who called himself “Will Harter,” where Dietz allegedly talked about sexually abusing the victim. Police said Dietz allegedly sent the man photos of the victim in the shower.

Police also allegedly uncovered a transcript of a conversation between Dietz and an online “Master.” The online conversation allegedly included explicit descriptions about using the victim as a sexual object and about Dietz and the victim moving to live with the “Master” for sexual purposes.

Police obtained a search warrant for all of Dietz’s electronic devices, which included a second cellphone and computers. Police allegedly found nude images of the victim on the second cellphone. On Dietz’s computer, police allegedly found 257 adult pornographic images of bondage, six adult videos of bondage, 16 images of females with animals, 81 nude images of the victim and 18 articles that described in detail “violent, gruesome and repeated rape and torture” of a child.

On Nov. 26, police interviewed Dietz and asked her if she had ever abused or hurt the victim. Dietz allegedly said, “I never did anything that she didn’t want me to do.” Police said that Dietz told them that the victim was curious about sex toys and asked for help using them.

Dietz also allegedly admitted to taking nude photos of the victim and sending the images to her boyfriend.

Dietz is facing 43 felony counts of dissemination of child pornography, corruption of minors, sexual abuse of children, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of a victim less than 16 as well as a misdemeanor count of indecent assault and other charges.

She was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Paula Aigner and placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $250,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 21 in front of Aigner.
