Tea Party plans protest
Masks, distancing encouraged
The Blair County Tea Party will host a rally at noon Friday at the Blair County Courthouse to protest Gov. Tom Wolf’s executive order, which shut down the economy in March, eliminating thousands of jobs and destroying Pennsylvania businesses.
The public is invited to attend with homemade signs expressing their disapproval of this arbitrary decree.
Confirmed speakers as of Monday are radio show personality and former state Rep. John McGinnis, Pennsylvania attorney Marc Scaringi, who has filed a lawsuit against Wolf’s executive order with the U.S. Supreme Court, and Altoona Attorney Dan Kiss.
Attendees are encouraged to adhere to safe virus practices such as social distancing and wearing masks.
