Logan closes municipal building

The Logan Township municipal building has been closed to the public.

“This action is necessary to lessen the risk from COVID-19 for residents and employees,” a news release from the township supervisors stated.

All sewer payments and real estate tax payments can be made by mail or placed in the drop box in front of the municipal building at 100 Chief Logan Circle. All payments must be made by check or money order; cash will not be accepted.

For information about sewer bills, call 949-3367.

Anyone needing to contact police for a non-emergency should call 949-3364 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Anyone needing assistance from the Zoning, Planning or the Code Enforcement departments should call 944-5349. To set up an appointment for permits, call 944-5349 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Logan Township Tax Office, located within the Logan Township Municipal Building, is also affected by the closing of the building to non-employees.

Tax collector Christina Blake said taxpayers can mail personal checks, cashier’s checks or money orders to the tax office or place them in the drop box outside the main entrance. If a self-addressed, stamped envelope is included, a receipt can be mailed. If taxpayers include their email addresses with payments, receipts can be emailed.

Tax payments received with a USPS postmark on or before April 30 will receive the typical 2% discount.

Blake will assist taxpayers who call the office at 944-5348 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Taxpayers also can email Logantax@verizon.net.
