Blair County Tea Party to meet about guns
The Blair County Tea Party will hold a follow-up to last month’s Second Amendment Sanctuary meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bavarian Hall, 112 S. 13th St.
Tea party President Rhonda Holland and others will talk about what steps are needed in the fight for gun freedom in Blair County.
State legislators in the “PA Safe Caucus” have recently issued 29 gun control laws they want passed this year. These proposals include limiting gun purchases to one per month, requiring approved training before issuing a concealed carry permit, using the extrajudicial No-Fly list to revoke gun rights and banning all assault weapons.
Other municipalities in the state have started passing ordinances similar to the one proposed for Blair County, according to the group.
One of the three Blair County Commissioners has expressed support for protecting gun freedoms, according to Jason Gardner, vice president of the Blair County Tea Party.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
