Clarification
The Blair County Taxpayers Alliance, formed in 2016 as the Blair County Citizens for Accurate Reassessment, is the citizens group that sued Blair County over its reassessment appeals process, according to secretary Richard Latker of Hollidaysburg. The alliance, according to Latker, subsequently created the Blair County Tax Policy Group as a political action committee to solicit campaign contributions, all of which came from inside Blair County. Both groups were referenced in a story published Wednesday about the contest for Blair County commissioner seats.
