A Williamsburg man allegedly under the influence of narcotics stole a vehicle and drove it to Altoona where he was yelling in the middle of a residential parking lot, dancing and banging his head off of the stolen vehicle, a police report states.

Michael Reilly, 28, took a vehicle Aug. 15 following a domestic violence incident at 115 E. Second St., Williamsburg, where Reilly allegedly broke a television and forcibly took the victim’s keys and her cellphone. Reilly allegedly shoved the victim when she followed him out of the residence, causing an injury to her right elbow, a criminal complaint states. Reilly then sped down the street in the vehicle.

At 1 p.m., Aug. 15, Altoona police received a phone call from the 1100 block of East Beech Court for a male “yelling in the middle of the parking lot, dancing and banging his head off his vehicle. Police arrived on scene and discovered the male to be under the influence of narcotics and discovered the vehicle (a 2014 silver Kia Forte) had been previously reported stolen,” the complaint states.

Police searched Reilly and found three stamp bags in his wallet with “Transformers” print on them. The criminal complaint also states police saw other drug paraphernalia in plain view in the center console of the vehicle. In the console was eight empty hypodermic needles, one fully loaded, two alcohol prep pads and one strip of Suboxone.

Reilly is charged with robbery of a motor vehicle, a first-degree felony; theft by unlawful taking, a second-degree felony; and robbery, a third-degree felony. On top of those charges, he faces misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal mischief as well as summary charges of harassment, disorderly conduct for unreasonable noise, driving while license was suspended or revoked and public drunkenness.

Reilly’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday 9:30 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Paula M. Aigner.

Unable to post $30,000 cash bail, Reilly is confined at the Blair County Prison.
