Woman accused of stealing

Conner allegedly took more than $32,000

An Everett woman faces a theft by unlawful taking charge for reportedly stealing thousands of dollars from a Bedford County business.

Angela Paulette Conner, 48, of 1758 W. Graceville Road, is accused of taking $32,783 from SAC Inc., according to a police complaint.

The victim who reported the theft allegedly told police Conner admitted to stealing an estimated $13,000 between October and November. Conner then reportedly told the victim that the theft might’ve started earlier than October and was closer to $29,800.

When interviewed by police, Conner said she got into financial trouble and that everything was piling up. She allegedly said the first time she stole money was in August, taking hundreds of dollars, but she planned on paying back the stolen money from her own pocket. The defendant told police the amount she took was about $29,800, states the complaint.

Conner waived her preliminary hearing Wednesday. She has an unsecured bail of $20,000.
